Congratulations to S.6B (2023/24) CHAN Kwan-sing for successfully completed the .Hong Kong Palace Museum Flagship Student Programme・ and officially became the first cohort of .HKPM Student Ambassador・.

Through a series of learning activities and practical training sessions, .Hong Kong Palace Museum Flagship Student Programme・ targets local tertiary and secondary students to cultivate their interest in the cultural significance of Chinese history, enhance their understanding and appreciation of cultural relics, and nurture Hong Kong・s next generation of arts and cultural talents.

In January 2023, participating students enrolled in the eight-month interactive learning programme encompassing thematic seminars on Palace Museum culture, creative arts activities, conservation workshops, site visits to the HKPM, and docent training. The Programme has equipped them with an understanding of artefact appreciation, conservation, and protection, as well as foundational knowledge of curation and exhibition design.

Next, Kwan-sing will apply the knowledge and skills he has attained to promote Chinese history and culture by introducing the Museum・s treasures to members of the public from a young person・s perspective.
