Organized by the Hong Kong Women”¦s Foundation, the Girls Go Tech program has entered its tenth year. It aims to encourage young women to pursue opportunities in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) fields, providing a platform for showcasing and„ę¬y, and hopes that they will continue to develop in technology and engineering based on their interests and abilities, contributing to society. On June 28 of this year, the foundation held a tenth-anniversary event, which included:

  • Corporate Volunteer STEM Career and Skills Exchange: Promoting interaction between companies and students
  • Second STEMtuber Short Film Creation Competition Announcement and Award Ceremony: Recognizing outstanding creative works
  • Inter-school STEM Exhibition: Showcasing research achievements from various schools

Our school was invited to participate in this meaningful event and showcased two booths during the event. Chan Ka-wai and Cheung Chi-yuet led judges through the space exhibit with lively and fluent explanations, covering topics such as "The Expanding Universe," "Spontaneous Symmetry Breaking," and "Cosmic Rays." They not only demonstrated solid scientific knowledge but also showcased their inspiring communication skills.
Cheng Huan-yin, Leung Pui-yi, and Yeung Wing-yi presented their research project on the "Artificial Intelligence Recycling Classification Box," an innovative project aimed at enhancing recycling efficiency using AI technology. They introduced the project”¦s design concept, technical applications, and future development directions, emphasizing the importance of environmental protection and sustainability.
This event not only provided students with an opportunity to showcase their research results but also facilitated„ę¬y and collaboration with other schools and companies, motivating them to continue their efforts in the STEM field. The participating students felt very honored and look forward to more opportunities to participate in similar events, continually exploring the infinite possibilities of technology.
