On April 24, Queen Elizabeth School (QES) was delighted to host a distinguished delegation of school Principals and educators from Guangdong Province. The visit offered a fantastic opportunity to showcase our schoolˇ¦s vibrant learning environment and our latest achievements in STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) education.

The day began with the delegation attending the fruitful opening ceremony of the QES Open Days. Following the ceremony, our talented students present an overview of QESˇ¦s rich history and our forward-thinking vision for STEAM education. The visitors were deeply impressed by our students' confidence and eloquence.

The delegation then moved to our D&T Workshop for some hands-on experience. They explored our cutting-edge aviation learning programˇXfunded by the Quality Education FundˇXwhere they tried their hands at flight simulators and advanced drone controls.

The tour continued through our science laboratories, showcasing diverse student achievements:

  • Physics Lab: Visitors received an insightful introduction to the student project, ˇ§Smart Invention for Elderlies,ˇ¨ highlighting how QES applies technology to real-world social care.
  • Biology Lab: Guests became students for a moment, participating in a hands-on DNA extraction experiment and learning about forensic fingerprint analysis techniques.

The visit concluded with a comprehensive campus tour. This event not only strengthened the invaluable educational ties between Guangdong and Hong Kong but also provided inspiring insights for the future development of STEAM education across both regions.
